Itinerary

Day 1Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel after breakfast at around 0730hrs. Depart for the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Lunch is at the lodge. Afternoon game viewing drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is situated on the equator, west of Nanyuki between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. The Conservancy boasts of the largest Black Rhino sanctuary in East Africa and in 2013 reached a population milestone of 100 black rhino. It also houses the three remaining Northern White Rhino in the world. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated here, and provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned and rescued chimpanzees. It is the only place in Kenya where these great apes can be seen. The Conservancy is host to the “Big Five” among a large selection of other African animals.(On site activities including guided night game drives, lion tracking and bush walks).

Day 2Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Full day in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with early morning and late afternoon game drive to spot animals not yet identified.

Day: 3Ol Pejeta-Samburu

Early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Depart for Samburu National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s zebra gerenuk, beisaoryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day:4Full Day In Samburu

After breakfast proceed for a game drive in this lush and region of north. The water of EwasoNy’iro River attracts a profusion of game. This area is known for the rare species of wildlife that are endemic. On this day you can choose to either have a full day game drive from 8am to 4pm, with packed lunch served inside the park or have morning and evening game drive with lunch at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Dy 5:Samburu- Lake Nakuru

Cross the equator as you drive southwards to Lake Nakuru National park. Drive through scenic Thomson falls, rift valley view point and Menengai crater. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake whose waters are often covered by a living carpet of thousands of flamingos and plains that are home to the lion, both white and black rhino’s, buffaloes, leopards and large herds of waterbuck among other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 6 :Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara

After an awakening breakfast proceed for a game drive enroute to mighty Masai Mara one of the Africa’s best loved parks. Each year the Mara is staging ground for the fascinating great migration, one of the most awe- inspiring natural events in the world. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 7: Full Day In Maasai Mara

This full day is spent game viewing, after breakfast, leave your lodge with picnic lunch and start exploration of this park in search of the Big Five including a visit to the Mara River, to experience the migration of the wildebeest. In the evening opt to visit a local Masai village.You will mingle with the Masai Warriors. You will be welcome to dance with them, admire their beadwork, learn their unique culture like traditional medicine, cattle raring, etc. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 8Maasai Mara-Nairobi

Early Breakfast (0600hrs) then start morning game drives, a perfect time for wildlife photography. Around 0830hrs depart Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi with Lunch break en route. The safari ends at Nairobi city Centre at around 1500hrs. Drop off at the airport can be arranged. Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch.
